Lacey E. Bromley

Drs. McPherson and Bromley have nearly 30 years of combined experience working with and learning from Sue Bennett. While no one will ever replace Sue’s presence, their complementary roles and experiences have provided the necessary leadership to continue the practice’s mission of providing high-quality comprehensive physical therapy services to the WNY community.
Both Lacey and Jake have earned Doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy from the University at Buffalo and have since gone on to achieve Board Certification in Neurologic Rehabilitation through the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Both have also achieved advanced credentials in Vestibular Rehabilitation through highly-recognized training with Emory University and the APTA.
Additionally, Dr. Bromley earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Science with a research focus on metabolic and physical function in individuals with neurodegenerative conditions. Outside of her clinical practice, she is an Associate Professor within the physical therapy program at D’Youville college, is active in research and publishes peer reviewed articles regularly. For over a decade she has taught numerous continuing education programs across the US and internationally.
Beyond clinical practice and management, Dr. McPherson leads our Post-Concussion Program and has been active in training other physical therapists in concussion and vestibular management through various continuing education programs. He has contributed to multiple peer reviewed publications and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo where he trains doctoral students in neurologic rehab and also conducts research related to traumatic brain injury.
As Bennett Rehabilitation continues to serve the needs of our community, the practice is dedicated to preserving and building upon its reputation for excellence in clinical care. Our clinicians are committed to meeting the individual needs of their patients.
Professional Staff
Dr. Raymond Shu, PT, DPT
Dr. Shu joined the practice soon after graduating from the University at Buffalo’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2017. He provides high quality care to patients of all ages with general neurologic, vestibular, and orthopedic conditions. Not only does he care for the patient’s physical function, he genuinely concerns himself with the patient’s overall well-being. Additionally, he serves as a representative of the clinic to the UB Exercise Science program and assists in managing undergraduate student interns. He also works as the Front Officer Manager to help the clinic run smoothly.
Dr. Angelene (Angie) Dimaano, PT, DPT, NCS
Dr. Dimaano graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy with honors from The University at Buffalo in 2021. She then went on to complete a year-long post-professional residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy with the University of Miami and Jackson Rehabilitation Hospital. There she received specialized training to manage the needs of individuals with various and rare neurologic and vestibular disorders. Since then, she earned her Board Certification in Neurologic Physical Therapy and relocated to WNY. In her spare time, she enjoys playing recreational volleyball, learning to speak Spanish, and performing as a singer. Dr. Dimaano strives to provide high quality care and education to help her clients achieve their goals and live well.
Dr. Owen Green, PT, DPT
Owen is a dedicated Physical Therapist and a proud graduate of the University at Buffalo, where his interest in neurologic, orthopedic, and vestibular conditions began. Owen’s journey with our team began during his clinical residency experience as a UB doctoral student. Now, as a full-time member, he is devoted to supporting individuals as they work to achieve their wellness goals. He believes in addressing not only the physical aspects of rehabilitation but he also considers the unique aspirations of each individual. This philosophy creates a collaborative and supportive environment, empowering patients to regain control of their lives.
Dr. Leah Fairbanks, PT, DPT, NCS
Dr. Fairbanks first started with our practice as an Exercise Science intern at the University at Buffalo. She continued her work with the practice as coordinator for the post rehabilitation and MS Wellness programs throughout her graduate work. Dr. Fairbanks joined the PT practice full time in 2018 following graduation from the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at UB. In 2022, she pursued and completed the Advanced Vestibular Physical Therapist Certification through the University of Pittsburgh. Leah specializes in general neurological, vestibular and orthopedic conditions with a strong focus on patient care.
Dr. Alexandria Metzger, PT, DPT
Dr. Metzger completed her clinical residency with our team in 2022 and joined the practice full-time shortly after graduating from the University at Buffalo with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She has experience treating patients with general neurologic, vestibular, and orthopedic conditions. Allie strives to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable as they work toward achieving their goals.
Dr. Matthew Owcarz, PT, DPT
Dr. Owcarz obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University at Buffalo in 2004. Since then he has led our practice in managing musculoskeletal/orthopedic conditions as well as our Parkinson’s Disease program. Dr. Owcarz is a frequent guest lecturer on metabolic conditions such as Mitochondial Myopathy and serves as Clinical Education Coordinator managing doctoral student affiliations.
Dr. Kelly Pecora, PT, DPT, NCS
Dr. Pecora completed her residency with our practice in 2016 and joined the practice full-time after completing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. She is a leader in the management of general neurologic, vestibular, orthopedic conditions and also provides consultation services at the UB Hydrocephalus Clinic.

Dr. Terry Rose, PT, DPT, FAAOMPT
Dr. Rose is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapy. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Daemen College in 2006 and also holds a certification in the McKenzie Method for Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy for the Spine and Extremities. He has experience with teaching in multiple physical therapy programs locally. Terry’s patient-first approach, years of expert practice, and individualized treatment programs have made him one of the region’s most highly regarded orthopaedic therapists.
Dr. Scott W. Swanson, PT, DPT, PCS
Dr. Swanson has been with the practice since 2012. Since graduating from the University at Buffalo with his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree he has obtained Board Certification in Pediatric Physical Therapy. He currently leads our team’s pediatric service line and sees patients at our Degraff Memorial Hospital location.
Sarah Gifford, PTA
Sarah received her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Niagara County Community College. She specializes in treatment of general neurologic, geriatric and orthopedic conditions.
Ryan Linhart, PTA
Ryan received his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Niagara County Community College. In addition to his outpatient experience he has worked in subacute rehabilitation. He has honed his skills in Multiple Sclerosis treatment and is pursing recognition as an MS Clinical Specialist.
Andrew Metzger, PTA, LMT
Andrew joined our team in 2019. In addition to his training as a PT Assistant he is also a licensed massage therapist. He enjoys working with patients of varied diagnoses and excels at pushing patients to achieve their best.
